“My husband and I are renovating an old cottage (circa 1875) in Worthing. The layout had some space under the stairs that I wanted to convert into a wine storage unit, with some additional storage drawers and there was some dead space between the two downstairs bedrooms that I wanted to convert into a Welsh dresser-style boot/cloak room. However, we were keen that the units should match the character of the property and in addition it was an extremely tight space to work with. Several joiners had looked at the project and never got back to us again.
We approached Michael as he came highly recommended by some other trade people we had worked with. He was very prompt in replying and came to have a look at the site, whilst I provided him with some Pinterest images of what I had in mind. He acknowledged it would be a challenge but seemed undaunted! After taking some measurements, he was able to provide us with detailed PowerPoint drawings - which helped us ensure we were on the same page in terms of design, and gave the opportunity to make some adjustments before the final product was manufactured.
The cabinets were made in his workshop and then fitted on site. Both my husband and I were truly blown away with the beauty and accuracy of the work Michael produced! In spite of the challenges of the site, Michael was able to utilize every millimetre available - resulting in a product that is both aesthetically stunning (and completely in line with the property) AND which functions exactly as I had hoped! The installation was also executed with immaculate attention to detail - and there was no sign of wood dust at the end.
Aside from the remarkable quality of his work, I found Michael a pleasure to do business with. He is very personable; he understood what sort of feel I wanted from the cabinets and created designs that were detailed and easy to understand. He also delivered the project on time and in budget.

“Michael was engaged to design and build some bespoke cabinets either side of a chimney breast as well as a plinth for a portable AC unit.
Michael attended site to take measurements and also to understand our requirements as it was part of a larger design project. The transition from initial concept and ideas to the finished cabinetry exceeded my expectations. We are very happy with the end result and it is clear that precision and care were just as important to Michael as they were to us. The final design was not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional to incorporate a media centre as well as the necessary air vents for the gas fire.
Whilst we did have to wait for a while for the cabinets to be made, Michael communicated his timelines clearly to us and kept us informed of progress and stuck to the agreed timeframe for installation.
